It does show some rust on the inside of the lid and where the metal handles attach to the kettle. 

I only used it for decoration so I don't know how it works for holding liquids.

It measures around 7 inches from bottom to top (just the kettle part), from bottom to top including the handle part up it is around 

10 inches, across the bottom it is 8 1/2 inches and it is around 4 1/2 inches deep on the inside. 

No one smokes here but we do have a dog. 

I do combine shipping if anyone wins more than one of my auctions.
